Some Squirrel Pics...
Here are a few photos of damage to homes from gray squirrels...
Note hole to the left of gutter end. The squirrel was walking along the incoming electric lines, and jumping on the roof.
The squirrel sat in the gutter, chewed through the shinglesfirst. It then, chewed through the aluminum and gained access to the attic.
This damage was done when I got to the job. The squirrels were getting in the attic through a louver vent at first, and this opening was chewed from the inside out.
Did you ever see a flying squirrel? This one was rescued from a fireplace and later released. A chimney cap was installed to prevent re-entry.
Flying squirrels really don't fly, they only glide and are
nocturnal (active at night). Bats are the only mammals in the
world, that can truely fly.
